This kit is designed to adapt your 1964 Cadillac 429 that came factory equipped with a (Buick) Turbo Hydramatic (TH400), and mating it into an older (1959-1964) Hyrdamatic (4 speed) Cadillac transmission. This kit requires you to use the stock drive plate from the Hydramatic engine

This kit WILL NOT work with a 1965 and newer 429 with the Cadillac style TH400.
This kit WILL NOT work to adapt a 64 or newer TH400 to an older (1959-1963 or 1964 Buick TH400 style) engine
